Editors Picks for Best Show:

Let it be known that the VT staff is not huge fans of Cirque du Soleil. We find their snobby faux-artiste attitudes to be nauseating. Cirque's ever-present over saturation at all MGM Mirage properties is overwhelmingly annoying. But we love the Beatles (who dosen't). Adding the two together may seem like a good idea on paper, but in our eyes it's a recipe for disaster - bastardization of the Beatles' deep catalog so a bunch of corporate artist types can make a delicious profit off of misfit acrobats.

With all these reasons to hate Cirque du Soleil, it's hard to like Love. But after seeing it, and absorbing its mash-up sound track CD how can one not? Our one main criticism of Love is the same criticism Paul McCartney had maybe it doesn't go FAR OUT ENOUGH. Maybe someday Cirque will do a Fear and Loathing Musical. That would be something to behold.
