Four people were arrested Friday and another suspect is being sought in the theft of more than $50,000 from Harrah's Riverboat Casino in Joliet, authorities said.

The five alleged masterminds behind a scheme involving cash vouchers have been charged with felony theft, Will County State's Attorney spokesman Lee Michaels said. One is a Harrah's employee, he said.

As many as 20 other suspects could be arrested in the coming days and weeks, he added.

The five alleged ringleaders of the theft are accused of fraudulently distributing casino vouchers to their friends and associates, who then used the vouchers to gamble or turned them in for cash, the spokesman said.

The thefts allegedly occurred between June 2004 and July of this year, Michaels said.
