Six former casino workers face federal charges accusing them of filing phony paperwork to get reimbursed for jackpots they never paid to customers.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says the scheme was carried out in 2002.

Thirty-two-year-old Roger S. Burnette of Naytahwaush is accused of being the mastermind of the scheme. He had worked in the slot department at the Mahnomen casino before 2002.
