Construction Walls Go Up In Encore Casino

VT reader YoEleven just got from Encore and shared with us a photo of construction walls going up on the "something special" being built on the casino floor adjacent to VDKA and the current Society Cafe.

Tipsters have told previously that this space was to be earmarked for a VIP gaming salon.

With this project being set in close proximity to the December relocation of Wynn's poker room, one possibility is that Encore is looking to make a permanent high limit salon nearby. I tend to doubt that Wynn would put the high stakes poker games on display in the middle of the casino floor (a la Bobby's Room at Bellagio) so I'll guess that other games will go there instead.

Maybe they're going to wall off a nightclub pre-game vibe gambling den and fill it with self-contained oontz-lite, booze served from VDKA, apps from Andrea's and DJ Mau5hat table felts and poker slots?

Hotel employee told me last night that it's a type of "party pit" and will have couches and a pool table. He also said that it's going to be a few steps below the casino floor level

I was recently there, nov 3-10. I was told there is indeed going to a party pit outside of Andrea. The Wynn poker room is moving to the former Society location and Society is moving to the..........former Botero location. On the Wynn side, more retail will be taking up the poker room, Ferrari locations.
