Confirmed: CliQue Bar & Lounge Coming To Cosmopolitan
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has confirmed that CliQue Bar & Lounge is coming this winter to the former Book & Stage spot.
Yes, the Q is capitalized... does this mean it is pronounced klee-kay?
...a new avant-garde lounge concept, coming soon to the resort. Located in the heart of The Cosmopolitan, this ultra hip and swanky cocktail lounge will add another dimension to the resort’s dynamic bar collection. Clique will serve as an escape from the outside world, offering artisanal cocktails and housemade mixers.
Their first tweet from @TheCliqueLV:
CliQue Bar & Lounge - Craft cocktails, table side mixology, live entertainment, and tastes that will awaken the senses.
Sounds delicious. The idea jibes with the growing trend amongst nightlife experts who see growing value in creating intimate dining, entertainment and cocktail experiences as opposed to yet another big, bass dropping box of beats, babes and booze.
CliQue Bar & Lounge is from Clique Hospitality made up of former Light Group impresario Alex Masi, Chef Brian Massie and restaurant operator Shane Monaco.
A boutique hospitality company, Clique specializes in upscale comfortable dining that sets trends, rather than following them. Hearthstone, the company’s first project that specializes in rustic American fare, reinvigorated Las Vegas’ Red Rock Resort and Casino, bringing in a more contemporary clientele with its worldly flavors. With eight restaurants and lounges in the pipeline in Nevada and California, Clique is transcending hospitality through service and operations, unabashed cuisine, appeasing design and unrivaled desire.
More on this as the story develops.
Big thanks to Mac78130 for the tip!

Comments & Discussion:
This proves the Mirage is for sale.
If you pronounce it cli-Kew you can confuse your friends as to if you want to meet at the former Book + Stage or the already existing Queue bar....
i think queue bar is gone
The Queue bar is gone too? that was going to be a fallback to Book and Stage for me
This is good. Vegas is surprisingly behind on bar trends, as most bars on the strip serve pretty standard fare compared to the booming craft cocktail and brew pub scene nationwide.
Should be another mailed in concept from the team of Masi & Massie. They've become experts at taking the same idea and replicating it over and over and over again. Hello Mist, meet Caramel, meet Deuce, meet Gold, meet Lily, meet Alibi and thanks for the management fee. Perhaps less surprising is that MGM execs (current and now former) keep buying.
Queue Bar is still listed on the Cosmo website.

it was in chaos mode a month ago... maybe a small reno.
They had me at swanky.
Kuddos to the PR group for sliding a bevy of buzzwords into the release. A lot of words to say nothing at all.
