Truth In Advertising Dept: Hakkasan and Steve Aoki Partner For Anti-Alcohol, Drug Campaign

An advertisement is now appearing atop Harmon Corner's ginormous LED billboard every five minutes. The message? Say no to drugs and alcohol. The messenger? Super star dj Steve Aoki, Hakkasan Nightclub and Las Vegas Metro Police Department.

Get high on the music not drugs or alcohol

What in the world could possibly truthful about this message?

And here, from Holy Crap: The Hakkasan Price List post dated May 20, 2013, is the premium beverage package price list from Hakkasan Nightclub.

I'll believe the sincerity of this message the day Hakkasan starts having prime time alcohol-free Steve Aoki events. Maybe they can get some straight edge idiot to spend a half a million dollars on a Diet Sprite.

The booze they're haranguing about paid for Hakkasan. It also paid Steve Aoki's performance fees.

The American flag shirt was definitely bought with the Benihana money.

Comments & Discussion:

It's a bit like Keith Richards telling kids not to do drugs......

But if I listen to Steve Aoki I shouldn't be drinking their overpriced alcohol! (Or maybe that's their point... Like putting anti-gambling messages by the ATM machines... Don't do it... no go on, we're just kidding...)

Would Hakkasan just let me buy a case of beer at the Walgreens under their advertisement and bring it in?

I also saw these ads rotating through those mobile LED billboards driving up and down the Strip. One was spotted at a stoplight next to another mobile billboard featuring scantily clad ladies.

Yeah, and most people come to Vegas for the fine dining and shows.... certainly not for the 24/7 gambling, booze, and strippers/hookers!

Wait...people drink while in Vegas? and get screwed with bottle service? I am shocked...truly shocked

Perhaps Hakkasan's price list is as costly as it is, because they're hoping to discourage folks from buying too much of it. Or, perhaps they're specifically targeting the Bubba Gump clientele.

..........is it just me or is Steve high in that picture?
