What Is Up With The Construction At Aria?
Aria has dropped The Deuce. The Deuce - which was originally named the National Gaming Lounge and Club Royale before Aria opened - may have a new name - 5 p.m., according to trademark filings discovered by VT superfriend and imminently published doody mouth Five Hundy.
Could this be another of MGM's blatant attempts to almost rip off stuff other ideas... a way to add a touch of Margaritaville flavored beach sand to the steel, glass and concrete shores of the development formerly known as City Center?
Probably. They've ripped off worse for less.

In addition to The Deuce being boxed in, there are multiple instances of casino floor being reclaimed in the name of construction walls. A large chunk of the casino floor near the main lobby (restaurant side) has been curtained off with slot machines being removed and relocated.

A second area in the spot where the overflow poker tables usually are has also been blocked off.
On the restaurant level, Sirio is closed off and being transformed into (Tony) Carbone.

Is this the start of Aria 3.0?
Big thanks to FiveHundeH and JohneH for the tips.

IMO they're 2 for 3 in recent changes. Bardot is good, not that I had any problem with American Fish. Five50 is a clear upgrade over Skybox. Alibi, however, is exactly the douche factory they didn't need.
I ate at Bardot recently, will be posting a review next week.
Lots of construction noise today eminating from that curtained-in area as I swung by at lunchtime for a couple slices of Five50 pizza. And that noise probably is driving the nearby poker players crazy.
Bardot is indeed good, but they need to work on portion size. That french toast during brunch is enough to feed three. I expect that at Cheesecake Factory but not at a Michael Mina restaurant.
The construction on the main floor is a big pain. I haven't noticed any noise, but playing blackjack at those tables (which are usually where the
Always Interesting to see the changes that happen at this property.
I agree pizza five50 is a great addition but I liked Sirio. Will have to check out Carbone next time I am in Vegas. Bardot looks really good also.
Hopefully the construction will not take the long amount of time that was needed for the Mexican restaurant converted from Union steakhouse.
