Is This The New, New Tropicana?
We've seen many visions for the future of the Alex Yemenidjian-era Tropicana, the Phase III entertainment deck and the The Strip, but this new one (full size via Paul Steelman & Associates website) is...

... whoa! Crazy lines and swoops, squares and curves... sleek and modern. Kinda like this:

Double whoa (triple, given this.) Did Steelman have his team whip up a modern "M Resort" inspired version of the Tropicana ("The Marnellicana") and drop it on their website as a juicy appetizer for Penn National?
Big thanks to VT superfriend SteveCovington for pegging this in the comments of the Marnell post.

Comments & Discussion:
I'd love to see design elements from M's casino floor make it over to the Trop. While the Trop's casino floor a big improvement over what was there prior, the lack of energy and vibrancy in the casino is really apparent. There are a lot of design elements at M that would translate over into a modern, tropical environment.
That's exactly the kind of attention-grabber the Strip at Tropicana needs. I'd love to see it happen.
I have gone from avoiding the Trop to staying there and loving it but never had any interest in eating there. I love the new look but if this is the route they are going then count me in because it's inspiring.
That looks pretty amazing. I'm in.
