Wynn Palace Architectural Plans Published By Subcontractor
Chinese interior decoration subcontractor Sundart has posted three images (casino floor, junket level 0, junket level 1 to their website which appear to contain the architectural layout and gaming plans for Wynn Palace's multi-level casino in Macau. The shapes and details in the plans match perfectly with the most recent official renderings and contain the inscription "100% Issue for Construction 2 May 2014" which is architectural parlance for "this is it, go build it"
A machine translation of the page reveals Sundart won the contract to build out the entirety of Wynn Palace's casino (including bathrooms) for $220 million Patacas, roughly $27.5 million USD. Sundart states that work commenced on the project in October of 2014 with completion scheduled for November 2015.

The "floral themed" Wynn Palace is scheduled to open in the first half of 2016. Image above via Roger Thomas' Facebook page.

Two of the images depict the ground and second floors of the VIP casinos. Specific sections (salons?) - and, comically, their bathroom counts - are allocated for use by specific junket operators.

The ground floor features four identical junket areas, two in each wing of the hotel, all of which will be facing the lake. Each of the four junket VIP areas contain eight private gaming as well as a center vestibule featuring six baccarat tables. On the ground floor, between the junket wings, will be at least three restaurants and bars containing private dining rooms, patio seating and proscenium seating facing the lake.

Wynn Palace's large mass market gaming floor will be located towards the rear (east) of the property. The design of the mass market casino takes cues from the Wynn Macau/Encore Las Vegas' "chambered" casino design grid concept. There are three rows featuring eight columns in each row. The first and last columns contain machine gaming - slots and stadium seating video baccarat.
There is also mention in the plans for multiple noodle restaurants and a "Diamond Lounge."
Big huge thanks to VT superfriend SteveCovington for this incredible tip.

In before the C&D.......
With the Chinese government crackdown on the junkets, who knows if all of these junket areas will even be needed. I have a feeling that Wynn will likely put the second phase of the project on ice indefinitely because of the continuing decline in revenues in Macau.
Lakefront property with dancing fountains. SW went back to it's Bellagio's roots and that doesn't come with a surprise. I still admire the Bellagio as his top work. Wynn and Encore in Las Vegas have a lot of cheatings and shortcuts to make the places feel posh while they are funky, funky but not solid luxury.
Amazing. I have the feeling this will be Roger Thomas' best work yet. Watching the evolution of the design of all of their resorts is fascinating.
A while back, I created a few quick renderings of what I thought the next Wynn property may look like. Here's a few I created if anyone is interested.
