We're proud to announce the host hotel of the 2015 edition of the Vegas Internet Mafia Family Picnic (VIMFP). We say it every year, but this year we REALLY REALLY MEAN IT.... we've got some really incredible stuff planned for this weekend and you absolutely do not want to miss it.

Go forth VegasInternetMafia.com.

Comments & Discussion:

Congrats on locking up the venue, while I know that many feel that 'the D' gets a free pass on criticism due to their hosting the event.

They have done a wonderful job in hosting the event, and in many cases I'd say they've gone out of their way to make people feel at home during it. After all what other resort are you going to check into, only to have Derek's pre-recorded greeting call you and talk about how "We've got VIMFP heer this weekend".

I'm glad you guys as the organizers recognized what many of us who've attended have seen, that it's really a match for an event like this.

I wasn't surprised at all by where it's going to be held at, as no other hotel in Vegas has treated the event in the way that The D has the two previous years they hosted the event as well as in 2012 when they threw the after party. I don't think any other property would be as welcoming to such a group and allow the kind of shenanigans that go on. The bar keeps getting raised and I can't wait to see what's on the horizon for this year's event (hopefully my employment situation will have cleared up by then and I can make it out there for part of the weekend).

Hope you are able to make it out too vespa! I'm currently planning on being out there, and hopefully that will hold.

Bret Micheals
Our Lady Peace
Sammy Hagar and The Circle
What could top that this year??

A month before the birth of kid #2. I think I'm going to go this year!

It's definitely going to difficult to top Sammy Hagar. I was thinking Cheap Trick as a possible after party entertainment, but would that top the Red Rocker (not to mention it would be just under two months since their show at The Joint)?

I like Cheap trick, but they'd pail in comparison to Bret and Sammy. I almost put them lower then Our Lady Peace on the scale of shows I've seen.

I'll have to give it some thought though on a sort of wish list of who I'd like to see (that is if there is any entertainment for that piece, although I imagine we'll see something). Not that my thoughts are going to matter, I don't particularly care, but a nice exercise in imagining.

Come on Vespa, you aren't really comparing Cheap Trick to Sammy Hagar right? I'm always surprised at the quality of performers Derek is able to book. Cheap Trick? I'm sure he'll do better than that.

This year I'll be sure to not book a September trip 2 days before a Sammmy Hagar type of announcement - (or Killers/ImagineDragons)*** !

Where have I been since April 22 ? I'm not sure. All I can say is that Chuck's "Little Green Men" intro video is nothing short of brilliant. I have two grandkids on the way between now and then, but I will do my best to be there.

Hope to see you for brunch hoss!
