The construction walls just came off of the forthcoming Julian Serrano restaurant Lago at Bellagio and VT's debonair MikeE was on the scene and ready to snapchat.

Check it out:

There is nothing subtle about this giant wall of cubist inspired stained glass made out of plastic.

Looks like Mix with a light show. Or is it Fix? Shit they all look the same anyway.

Whaddya think?

Thanks MikeE!

Fucking bullshit.

Is it just me or does the design yell out "cheap"? I still remember being at the B the night it opened. The restaurants looked first class. Especially the Japanese/Sushi place. Remember they they had aquariums over the sushi bar with different color jelly fish in each one. This just looks like cheap plastic. Maybe it looks better in person. Has anyone seen it yet?

Was this fiasco designed by Phil Ruffin or Gary Loveman? It screams cheap!

It lacks mystery.

Looks like it would be more appropriate for Monte Carlo or SLS than Bellagio.
Doesn't exude class or sophistication. Rule should be storefront's match the general theme or aesthetic of the resort. This one does not say 5 star at all.

Someone tripping balls at the club is gonna have one look at that wall and freak the eff out.

Oh yeah…it blends perfectly with the Bellagio's architecture…holy shit this is bad stuff. Ditto on the more appropriate for Montecarlo or Mirage,it even looks like a fancied up TI's now gone Canter's Dely. It would have looked out of place even at Aria,a complete miss from the good guys at MGM. But of course,it will be a huge success.

OMG - They replaced the Circo's wall with this monstrosity?

Is this where they sell the midnight pizza or Johnny Rockets because this is absolustely what I think of when I look at it. It'd make a great addition for Circus Circus...

Maybe if they dim the lighting they can salvage it.

It looks like they're trying to appeal to a different demographic than the usual Bellagio one....but I'll withhold further judgment until I actually see and eat there personally since I'm a huge fan of both of Chef Serrano's other restaurants.

Ugliest thing ever.

Daylight, inside a casino? What's next? Clocks?

finally a place in Bellagio to get my yard-long Margarita to sling around the neck?

I think my glasses will think they are outside while I am inside and I will fall over something.
