Peekaboo: The Preview Center at Resorts World Las Vegas

Two weeks after we told you construction on preview pavilions at Resorts World Las Vegas was imminent, Genting America spokespeeps announced that there will be a groundbreaking ceremony May 5. Thanks to architect of record Steelman and Associates, we can see exactly what the preview will look like - inside and out.

Resorts World Preview Center Exterior

The exterior of the preview pavilion is festooned with design details that are astounding. No that isn't the Tropicana off in the distance, it is a whitewashed Treasure Island, I love the paint job. Additionally, Trump and Fashion Show Mall have been vanished. The pawn shop lights have the resorts world RW logo emblazoned on the globe. I'm curious how RWLV plans on keeping this degree of design filigree maintained through out the property... that parcel's Strip frontage is HUGE.

Stepping in in through the Fu Dogs leads to the interior, which will be incorporated into the property when it is completed.

Resorts World Preview Center Interior

This is where RWLV will meet and greet curious customers, host media events and fan the flames of interest about the property.

The giant table in the middle contains holds a scale model of what appears to be "Phase One" of the RWLV project. The second level balcony is accessed by a dual stairway at the rear of the vestibule. The detail of the iron work in the balcony, the floral patterns on the ceiling and the glittering red and crystal Murano chandeliers add a classic European touch to this heavily Asian design.

Resorts World Pc Walls

The walls appear to be covered in large white marble tiles with gold panels containing hand carved doors and other artwork. The far wall contains lattice mirrors which will reflect the crystal drop lighting at what appears to be a reception desk display.

Resorts World Pc Decor

The opposite wall has somewhat similar designs, swapping hand carved doors for artwork and mirrored wall for natural light. Details details details details.

If the forthcoming preview center is any indication of what we can expect from Resorts World Las Vegas, this property is going to be a spectacular creation.

Big thanks to VT reader @StratMatt86 for the tweet tip.

Comments & Discussion:

A resort that looks like it should be called the Imperial Palace being built on land formerly owned by the company that now owns the Imperial Palace name..... The old Imperial Palace looks like a Chinese restaurant in the burbs by comparison....

These are too well done to be an April Fool's thing, right?

Nothing I like to see more than an operator exceed expectations. I'd love to see the colors pop out on the Strip has much as they do here in this rendering.

Does the model represented in the interior rendering indicate that the scope of "phase one" development has been expanded? Those two smaller south-facing towers are back.

Also, the center scallop has returned.
