An unfavorable deal has prompted Grenada city/county engineer Robert Willis to file a lawsuit against a Tunica Casino.

Willis has filled suit against Circus Circus Mississippi, Inc., Gold Strike Resort, Mandalay Resort Group, Inc., and Gold Strike Casino. Willis, the one time patron of Gold Strike Casino Resort in Robinsonville, MS, was an avid player of blackjack, according to a copy of a lawsuit filed May 20 in Grenada County Chancery Court.

Willis lost approximately $421,350 to the casino and a total of $243,500 the following year according to the lawsuit. But this didn't stop his enjoyment of the game. His luck changed in 2002, winning the amount of $250,000 in one session. After winning, Willis was told by an employee that his credit had been closed due to his large win, according to the filing.
