Former Wynn Resorts Executive Vice President of Marketing and Advertising Jennifer Dunne announced today via Facebook that she has joined the team of Andrew Pascal's venture with James Packer to build a multi-billion dollar resort on the land formerly occupied by the New Frontier.

Ms. Dunne worked directly with other former Wynn executives Andrew Pascal (President, COO) and Rob Oseland (COO, Encore, CEO SLS) to design, build, open and execute the opening of Wynn Las Vegas and Encore.

After leaving Wynn Resorts amidst the executive exodus in early 2011, Ms. Dunne worked as VP of Marketing at the Hard Rock before leaving to work with entertainment visionary Franco Dragone in Belgium exactly a year ago.

In her statement, Ms. Dunne states that her new duties will "head of entertainment, tasked with definition, production, integration and marketing of the interactive, social and entertainment offerings" of the forthcoming property.

She does not mention the project by the name we've uncovered for it - Élan Resort.

This is fantastic news. With the hiring of Rob Oseland and now Jenn Dunne, Andrew Pascal is putting back together the band that made Wynn's first five years so awesome.

Big thanks to VT Senior Director of Design and Dining, JohnH for the tip!

Comments & Discussion:

The band's gonna make it!

I've heard another rumor that Unwin might be involved in this project too. Which makes me wonder how the titles of these guys would stack up. Pascal Chairman & President, Unwin CEO, Oseland COO? That team frightens me.... lots of experience bringing great stuff to market.

I'm getting more and more excited for this project with every one of these updates you provide, Chuck! Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

What sort of timeline would you anticipate?
