Breaking: Gary Loveman Out As Caesars CEO
Gary Loveman is stepping down as Caesars CEO company effective June 30. The company has named former Hertz executive as CEO-designate.
After 12 years as CEO, Caesars has accomplished more than what we could have imagined when I arrived in 1998. Now, with the company in the midst of a formal restructuring of one of its subsidiaries and a merger between entities, the time is ripe for a transition.
Don't cry for Gary, he's still got a job at Caesars as Chairman, as well as overseeing the CEOC bankruptcy full time.

Comments & Discussion:
The only question I have is whether his Chairman salary is enough to cover all those fancy haircuts. Speaking of taking a haircut, how IS the bankruptcy going?
"After 12 years as CEO, Caesars has accomplished more than what we could have imagined when I arrived in 1998."
Oh boy has it ever. Who knew you could drive a massively sucessful casino operation into bankrupty?
Perhaps he should go back to Haa-vaahd and teach other future gaming CEOs about the propensity of the Chinese to gamble so they won't make the same mistakes as he did...
For somebody "Harvard credentialed" to run a "house always wins" business into the ground, I think this idiot deserves much worse than a voluntary resignation. I hope to see his rest-home on 60 Minutes with entertaining consequences.
"the time is ripe for a transition."
And the Colosseum is looking for a new headliner.
Coincidence?
I think he should enjoy his success as he sees it. He has to move into the Linq and ride the High Roller 12 hours a day
