Help Stratosphere Take Vegas Back!

The Stratosphere has launched a new marketing campaign whose slogan is Take Vegas Back!

Two minute and thirty second rant about everything that has turned Vegas from being fun to being an expensive annoyance. This is incredibly brave, smart and brilliant marketing plan to claim Stratosphere as home to the "everyman."

I like the rant but i didn't hear anything about decent table games... Fill the casino floor with 3:2 S17 blackjack tables and I'm in!

I gotta say I dig it. Not sure if I'm heading up to Strat based on that, but I found myself nodding my head through it.

DWSH001: You got that right. In addition to that, bring back the live entertainment and don't allow djs of any kind and kids. Also, clean and renovate the rooms. If they do that, I will be a Stratosphere regular.

Agreed, in the spirit of Stupak. Let's see some decent paytables and a solid reward for being unwilling to walk across Sahara (to an even crummier set of odds, of course). Put your money where your mouth is, and you'll see results. I'll show up at the Strat instead of going to Reno, and I will speak with my wallet.

They redid the casino a few years ago and it is actually pretty nice (clean and spacious) with a decent center bar (cheap drinks). The tower itself has a really great bar with views of the strip, excellent happy hour, and usually live jazz music. Everything else about the place is average (which fits nicely with this campaign). It's a very easy trip by taxi.

Very brave indeed. It's too long and many of the actors are too over-the-top actorly, but I applaud Stratosphere for okaying this campaign.

Brilliant marketing! I will stop by next week just because.

hilarious - at 2:16, while the actor is saying 'and to fun above all else' the guy next to him gets beaten by the dealer and loses his bet, shaking his head with an expression that does not look like he is having fun. Right time to lose, though, he only had 1 red chip out rather than the 4 greens earlier in the video (or wait, is it purple?)

+1 on checking this out if they offer better odds than elsewhere, otherwise why bother making the trek

I'm a fan of the lower/mid tier resorts trying to brand themselves as such, rather then trying to be a 'high end' resort

It's a nice idea but they could have used real examples that are shareable rather than 'Take Back Vegas'.

-No Resort Fee
-All Blackjack pays 3:2
-20x Craps bets
-Happy Hours/Cheap Beers

The place has gotten better and if I had a need to stay that far down the Strip I would book a room there. This is a great campaign that could help the place a lot. Maybe SLS should have went this route.
