Nugget Laughlin Given to New Nugget Vegas Owners Gratis?

Rick Garman at Vegas4Visitors says:

When Landry's Restaurant Group bought the downtown Las Vegas landmark Golden Nugget a couple of months ago, the Laughlin, Nev., sister property was not included in the deal.

Now, a separate sale has fallen through, and it looks like Landry's is going to pick up the Laughlin hotel after all, without laying out an additional dime for it. Seems that its deal calls for a purchase of the gaming division of the company that currently owns both Golden Nuggets, including all assets. Everyone agreed that the Laughlin Golden Nugget would be sold separately and not included in the Landry deal. But now that the other sale is kaput, it goes back in the gaming division portfolio and goes to Landry automatically for no extra money.

[ If this left-field conjecture is true, then Tim/Tom just shat out a big brown worthess Nugget. Scroll down to read the story. - Ed ]
