Vegas Wonderland On The Strip

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Wonderland on The Strip, located directly across the street from Mandalay Bay at 18 East Four Seasons Drive, near, behind or adjacent to the McDonalds/Panda Express strip mall.

Their ownership is secret. Nobody knows anything about this other than the Clark County planning committee (who approved it) and some folks who got a top secret press release a month ago.

Hidden in the html is the description:

Welcome to Wonderland: A seasonal marketplace located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Operating Halloween through Christmas, we offer two distinctive holiday experiences including 7 Deadly Sins and 7 Weeks of Winter.

But wait... News 3 aired a segment about Wonderland that included mention of a special Christmas burrito by company director Jason Feltz, a factoid he delivered with a satisfying snicker.

Who is this Jason Feltz? Could it be this guy? Why yes... it is! He's following the VegasWonderland Twitter account. Mr. Feltz also has his own actor portfolio website that includes a short he directed and acts in entitled "How to be a Douchebag."

The question is... is Wonderland on The Strip for real or did the Russian search engine guys behind Eurasia change focus to something more realistic... we await your response Mr. Feltz.

That two thumbs joke was great.

Their facebook page links to a legit Las Vegas Sun article from Nov 9 2013,

Excerpt:

"A winter wonderland that features sledding, an ice-skating rink and motorcycle-drawn carriage rides is headed next month to the south end of the Strip.

The holiday festival is being put on by 7 Wheel Wonders, the company that manufactures the motorcycle-drawn carriages.

In addition to showcasing the company’s unique rides, the event will provide a unique destination for tourists and locals alike, a project representative told Clark County commissioners this week.

“The objective is to make this look like a New England village, a holiday village,” said attorney Kimberly Maxson-Rushton, who represents 7 Wheel Wonders.

wow consider me underwhelmed.

“The objective is to make this look like a New England village, a holiday village,” said attorney Kimberly Maxson-Rushton, who represents 7 Wheel Wonders.

Well, maybe that will appeal to some Los Angelenos. As for this East Coaster, the real thing is a lot closer and cheaper.

Motorcycle-drawn carriages? Huh? I will visit Wonderland after I have seen and done absolutely everything else there is to see and do in Las Vegas.
