Mandalay Bay announced that Andy Lewis - known for performing during the Super Bowl halftime show with Madonna - will lead a team of high flying daredevils and members of Cirque Du Soleil in a slack line "megastunt" on Wednesday October 16 (two days before VIMFP weekend.)

This character is the Tony Hawk of highwire lunatics. Maybe a little Jackass too.

Lewis and his team will perform tricks on grid of slack lines strung between two Strip-facing wings of Mandalay Bay's Y shaped towers. The event will be presented in conjunction with the new Michael Jackson One show and be choreographed to the "Beat It." Eddie Van Halen will perform the guitar solo live, while walking the slack like with the acrobats.

Thanks Mac for the tip!

So if he doesn't make it that will be the front page news of all the Vegas newspapers when I get there the day after?

Here's a bit more info:

I'm getting into Vegas just prior to this and if I was renting a car, I would definitely swung by to catch this.
