Wynn Social Posts, Then Pulls Killing The Buffet Video

Killing The Buffet

Yesterday afternoon, Wynn Social, the much maligned marketing arm of Wynn Nightlife Group, posted a video tour of their buffet entitled Killing The Buffet starring XS DJ Wolfgang Gartner.

In the video, which has since been pulled from YouTube, Gartner enters the buffet, looks at all the dishes and smugly approaches each dish and repeatedly rejects them. Primarily because he doesn't eat vegetables.

Cut to Gartner further down the buffet line, slice of pizza on his plate, complaining that the buffet doesn't have anything that 'he can really bite into.'

Cut again to Gartner sitting at a table in the buffet, smugly disparaging the food, the desserts and explaining why he eats with his hands while being treated to a montage of him stuffing his face.

The attempt to make a witty, wry video about how a smug dorky dj guy isn't impressed by one of the worlds greatest casino buffets supremely backfires. It makes Wynn's multiple Trippies award winning The Buffet look absolutely horrible and dumps a bucket of egg on the proven ineptness of the Wynn Social team.

The time is now for Wynn's corporate PR team to take the keys of the kingdom back from these idiots before they thoroughly destroy the reputation of this once incredible hotel.

Big thanks to Steve Friess and AccordCoupefor the tweet tip.

Wow sucks for them.. all that work..

Silly stuff.
How is this buffet now? I get two freebies with my upcoming trip. Will I miss Wicked Spoon if I only hit the Wynn buffet?

I know this is slightly off-topic, but I had the Wynn Buffet about five years ago, and I was very disappointed. Everything looked pretty, but the actual flavors were lacking. Nothing had any flavor. All the deserts had a similar, odd note to them, almost like the dishes had been washed and not rinsed, and you could still taste the soap/disinfectant. Also, the crab legs were snow crab or it was a particular bad season for King crab.

Was I just there on an off night?

It's been 2 or 3 years, but the best thing I remember 'bout the Wynn buffet were the desserts! Just friggin' incredibly tasty cookies!
