Update: Vince is still in the Crue, but the concert is a private affair.

Earlier, a press advisory was issued regarding a free, private concert September 1 at Treasure Island featuring rock legend Vince Neil including incorrect information on how to obtain tickets. Due to Mr. Neilís popularity the response was overwhelming, however this concert is not available to the public. It is a private, corporate event.

Also, we mistakenly addressed Mr. Neil as former lead singer of Motley Crue when he is, and always has been, the lead singer of Motley Crue. Mr. Neil and Motley Crue are looking forward to their residency at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino starting in September.

Somewhere, Treasure Island owner Phil Ruffin asked himself... "how do I kick start my mall project?" After a brewing a fresh pot of Folgers the answer came to him... "A HA! I'll have Vince Neil perform at the pool on Labor Day weekend!"

But seriously, Treasure Island, just sent out a press release which not only announces that Vince Neil will be performing at their pool on September 1st, but that he's also now the "former" lead singer of Motley Crue again. When did this happen?

Straight from the press release:

Former lead singer of the heavy metal rock band Motley Crue, Vince Neil will perform a private concert - one night only - poolside at Treasure Island, September 1 at 8:30 p.m.

Neil joined Motley Crue in 1981 and two years later the band's sophomore release Shout at the Devil rocketed the band to stardom. Throughout the rest of the decade, the band continued to top the charts releasing three additional albums.

In 2012, Neil launched his Tatuado Tequila and Vodka brands. The popular spirits are bottled in Las Vegas.

Those who would like to attend the concert can get free tickets with the purchase of Vince Neilís Tatuado Tequila and Vodka, or Kahunaville Party Rum at any Treasure Island Gift Shop. Tickets are also available with the purchase of select cocktails at the Margarita Bars at Treasure Island. Tickets are general admission and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Guests must be 21 years or older to attend the concert.

So if you're in town Labor Day weekend, head on over to Treasure Island on Sunday September 1st at 8:30pm for a live intimate performance by Vince Neil and his rock -n-roll distillery.

Comments & Discussion:

I saw Vince Neil (not Motley Crue) perform at the Orleans earlier this year. He was forgetting and slurring words, off key, and I ended up walking out. On the plus side, the strippers he had lining the back of the stage made for some nice eye candy.

Vince Neil was STILL IN Motley Crue?

Motley Crew still exists?

Unless he wants to get the shit sued out of him by Hard Rock no way Vince has quite MC just yet.

the update still got it wrong. but hey.

I rather see him for free here in Hell Paso and save me the long trip....

Wow, even in press release corrections John Corabi gets shafted.

I remember when he had his one year anniversary for his tattoo parlour, he did a free show at Carnaval Court. Talked to him briefly in the Flamingo Diamond checkin (he was standing off to the side while his manager checked him in). I couldn't think of anything to say that wouldn't be stupid, so I asked what time the concert was that night. (it actually wasn't on the website).
