G2E is right around the corner along with the flood of new branded slot machine announcements. WMS Gaming has introduced a new slot machine based off of the John Hughes classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Here's the trailer for the game:

Video slots, progressive wheels, "Top Dollar" shell games, movie clips, turning the ending race into a game, picking a pencil from Edie McClurg's wig, 'Danke Schoen'.... what's not to love?

That's awesome... but when can we get the "Gremlins" or "Goonies" slots?!?

I really don't want a truffle shuffle bonus game...

Wonder what they could do with the Game of Thrones franchise...

Love.

hey, what's up 1986?

I think you're going to see more and more slot machines that are aimed towards the Generation X demographic. We've had Ghostbusters, Cheers, and Top Gun slot machines, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a Back To The Future slot within the next few years.

WMS and other slot machine companies have their licenses that cater to a wide range of players (Wheel Of Fortune, Monopoly, The Price Is Right) as well as popular and current properties like Batman, Spiderman, Iron Man, American Idol, The Hangover, Family Guy, Pawn Stars, The Walking Dead and Lord of the Rings. But as some of those properties lost popularity as the show goes off the air or it has been several years since the movie was out, machines disappear. In some cases, there's not really any way to refresh those properties like you can with Wheel Of Fortune or Monopoly themed slots.

It's a shame Kady's closed, our server there was a dead ringer for Edie McClurg!! Woulda been great to play this slot with her!!

So cool. And not surprising that Cameron's jersey mysteriously lost its Red Wings logo.

Vespa: IGT already did a Back To The Future machine about seven or eight years ago.

@MinVegas I didn't know that, must have come and gone fairly quickly.

What ? No Charlie Sheen !?!? At least we get to hear Chuckmonster's favorite song "danke schön" in the voice of the grat Wayne F. Newton ?
