Las Vegas Casino Execs: The Lost Screen Tests

You know these men for the starring roles they play with some of Las Vegas's biggest casinos. But you may not be aware of the roles that they didn't land. Here are the long lost Hollywood screen tests of several prominent Las Vegas casino executives.

Screen Test Steve

Steve Wynn auditioned for the role of Clyde in the movie Every Which Way But Loose. He did not land the part, but he made a lifelong friend in Clint Eastwood, who would later serve as Wynn's best man at his 2011 wedding to Andrea Hissom.

Screen Test Jim Murren

Jim Murren was originally cast as Mork in the 70's sitcom Mork and Mindy. However, after shooting the pilot episode, the producers felt that Murren's hyperactive, over-the-top personality did not mesh with their vision for the show. The far more sedate Robin Williams was brought in to replace him.

Screen Test Sheldon

Sheldon Adelson tested for the role of Shirley in the long-running sitcom Laverne & Shirley. Although Laverne & Sheldon never came to be, the chemistry between Adelson and Penny Marshall was undeniable. They married in 1991.

Screen Test Loveman

Gary Loveman went the extra mile in his attempt to land the part of Scott Thorson in the Liberace biopic Behind the Candelabra. Despite losing 80 pounds and ditching his trademark Little Dutchboy haircut, the movie's director insisted the role go to Matt Damon.

Greatest. Post. Ever.

Any truth to the rumor that John Unwin auditioned for a role in Showgirls?

Trump was cast for the King and I. But he refused to shave that thing on his head.

Damn. I forgot how hot Pam Dawber was.

Nice photoshop job on the Loveman pic.

Are you sure that wasn't Wynn playing Clyde in the movie? I honestly can't tell the difference!
