Caesars Entertainment announced that they are separating from celebrity chef PaulaDeen.

'While we appreciate Paula's sincere apologies for statements she made in her past that she recently disclosed during a deposition given in response to a lawsuit, after thoughtful consideration of their impact, we have mutually decided that it is in the best interests of both parties to part ways at this time.

I guess there is such a thing as having too much soufth in yer moufth.

Thanks to VT superfriend JohnD for the tweet tip.

Comments & Discussion:

Do deep-fried boots come with a side of deep-fried shoelaces?

No, but they'll probably come with a deep fried reboot once the hubub dies down.

Mmm Deep Fried Bacon so good mouth is drooling at the thought.

Sounds like a chance for another celebrity chef to jump in and have four casino restaurants over night. Anyone have Guy Feiri's phone number? Maybe I'll just drive up to Tex Wasabi's Rock'n'Roll Sushi and BBQ for lunch today and see if he's there!

Whereas Paris Hilton makes derogatory comments towards gays and she remains a fixture headliner at Pure, Château, and Gallery.

Anyone read John Curtas' comments? Pretty great:

@RobbieNomi While those venues are on Caesars Entertainment properties, they are not owned by them and unless Caesars were to bar her for their properties (like the ban she got from Wynncore after the drug arrest), they really cannot do anything about the people their clubs book for headlining gigs. Hell, there was all sorts of uproar on the Caesars Palace Facebook page a few years back when Chris Brown was hosting an event at Pure. In some ways, when a club at a resort has a controversial figure making an appearance there, it gives the impression that the company that owns the resort approves of it and that can have negative effects for that company. If I was running a resort and a club that operates on my property was planning to bring in a controversial "celebrity" to "host" an event, I'd tell them to either pull the plug on it or risk having that person banned from the property.

I guess the folks that are boycotting the Food Network will now be boycotting Caesars.....

Right now, companies that have relationships with Paula Deen have little choice but to distance themselves from her lest they too become a target. There doesn't seem to be too many companies sticking by her at this time and it's likely to remain so. The court of public opinion has made her a pariah and maybe one day down the road she'll be welcomed back into the fold.

Where did she have a restaurant at? I don't think I've ever see her associated with Caesars?

I've eaten at Imperial Palace, and I thought their only celebrity chef was Boyardee.

I had no idea she had a place in Caesars. She doesn't exactly fit their clientele.

She had restaurants at Harrah's Cherokee, Harrah's Tunica, Harrah's Joliet, and Horseshoe Southern Indiana.

There was some speculation that perhaps her name would be put on the buffet at The Quad, but nothing more than rumors.

Her restaurants have already been pulled from those casinos' websites.

@NeverJustJ has it right. The fiery guy would be a natural fit for buffets for those casino locations, plus he already has a relationship with CET, thanks to his newly minted Quad buffet.

I was at Horseshoe Southern Indiana on Friday night, and not only was her restaurant still open, it was packed! I heard it was at least a two hour wait, but I wouldn't have eaten there if I could have walked right in. Nothing against her, just her food. I found it interesting that there were people of every color and race in the line...
