VIMFP: The World Series of Satin Casino Jackets
Ladies and gentlemen! We are incredibly excited to announce the first of many events that will take place at Vegas Internet Mafia Family Picnic... the first annual:

The World Series of Satin Casino Jackets
Borne from the love of vintage Vegas gear and a much beloved VegasTripping feature article, the World Series of Satin Casino Jackets 2013 will give opportunity for casino jacket satinologists to strut their stuff as they compete for the title of World Champion Satin Casino Jacket.
The World Series of Satin Casino Jackets is equal parts Gong Show and Project Runway. Entries will be judged by an esteemed panel of Satin Casino Jacket experts, global gaming historians and underweb Las Vegas tastemakers in conjunction with audience applause-o-meters.
The World Series of Satin Casino Jackets will take place during the weekend of the Vegas Internet Mafia Family Picnic at The D Las Vegas, which is scheduled for the weekend of October 19, 2013.
We urge all attendees to begin making preparations procuring their entry.
More details about the WSOSCJ will be announced as VIMFP weekend approaches.... we're about FIVE MONTHS AWAY!
Book your room now using the VIMFP13 promo code.

Comments & Discussion:
Facebook "sensation" MyVegas called. It wants its multi-logo lettering back.
Seriously though. Do people ever wear casino-branded (jackets/hats/tshirts) in their home towns? Or do they wait to break that gear out on the return trip to Vegas?
Wait...people still wear satin jackets?
Easily the best $80 I ever just hated spending on something I will never wear again.
Totally just bought my dude one for his birthday. There's an awesome Stardust one I saw online that I may get for myself. Just to have.
Is there a requirement that jacket entries must actually be worn by their owner? Apparently XXL people are still wearing their satin casino jackets making acquisition for a guy my size difficult...
