Black Sabbath September 1 at MGM Grand Garden Arena

The mighty Black Sabbath, er... 75% of the mighty Black Sabbath - riffmeister Tony Iommi, thunderous bass player and lyricist Geezer Butler and Satan's vocalist Ozzy Osbourne (sadly, contractual issues kept squirrelly beat blaster Bill Ward from participating) - will be performing their first Las Vegas show in a near eternity on September 1, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

With tabloid reports that Ozzy back on the booze and Sharon is on the outs, I've got a lot of hope for this tour. Factor in the awesomeness of Tony and Geezer's last collaboration with a former Black Sabbath singer, the incredible Heaven and Hell with Ronnie James Dio, all signs are pointing that this could be the tour when Sabbath finally does their legacy right.

The new track "God Is Dead?" from forthcoming album 13 fingers all of the bloody nail holes... brooding riffs, moshtastic protoboogie and six hundred and sixty six scoops of evil.

Tickets range from $50-$150 with resort fees and can be had at Ticketmaster.

Looking forward to this show. This post has been up for days, and no comments made? Are there no other Vegas trippers that like music besides Chuckmonster? That’s so Lame.

Many moons go, at the age of 17, I saw Black Sabbath. All original members (and Bill Ward) at Ozzfest here in Tampa. They put on a decent show.
