Mandalay Bay: Megadeth at House of Blues Dec 6!
Metal icons Megadeth will be bringing their incredible brand of precision fury to the south seas themed (?) Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on Thursday December 6, 2012.
For those who don't know, Megadeth front man Dave Mustaine is one of the creators of the genre known as thrash metal while playing with Metallica before they got huge. In the ensuing 30 years (has it really been that long?) Mustaine has carved a unique path through the heavy metal landscape, and leaving Metallica in the dust.
Yeah, he's a different guy now... a bit more Ted Nugent and a whole lot less Lemmy, and his once progressive political views have gone all the way around to ultra conservatism, but as long as he keeps his mouth on the lyrics and fingers on the fretboard, we'll continue to love him.
This year, Megadeth will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of their "Countdown to Extinction" LP by performing the disc in its entirety. Aaaaaaawesome!

Comments & Discussion:
Hey Chuck, are you thinking about going to Rush at MGM on Thanksgiving weekend at all?
you assume i will survive beyond vimfp.
For ten years, (1985-1995) I bought every Megadeth album, and saw them live every time they came to my city, and considered myself a major fan of theirs....... And then I met Dave in person and it all ended. What an egomaniac.
PS- I still have the first issue LP of 'Killing is my business' if anyone is interested. It still has the sticker on the plastic wrap that says "Featuring the ex lead guitarist of Metallica"
Dave may be an ass, but Megadeth is pure greatness. Have seen them many times and they are always great (whoever is in the band).
Up the Irons!
Check out Deicide To Hell With God - awesome!
Megadeth certainly is awesome live, though I'm not so sure about that whole "leaving in the dust" business since, ya know, Metallica did just do their own festival and all that...
