A Programming Note: We're AC Tripping
Dear friends,
This is just a quick note for the regulars that this blog will be on temporary break for the next week as we are heading back east for a week. I was hoping to have posted at least one of the bigger pieces from the recent Vegas trip by now, but alas, I'm a boob. The good news is that you've got reviews of Caesars Palace Forum Tower and Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris to look forward to reading upon our return.
Oh, and by the way, we're going to Atlantic City for a coupla days straight away. We will be spending one night at the brand new Revel Resort and one night at Borgata... we will be bringing back reviews of both and whatever else strikes our muse.
Keep your eyes on AtlanticCityTripping blog for updates along the way as well as on the new! @actripping Twitter joint for updates and whatnot.
See y'all by the sea!

i wish i could make it down to meetup but alas, i'm going for the 4th and i can't justify the drive on a weeknight.
Have a safe and prosperous trip my friend!
I'm curious to hear from a Vegas regular as to what your thoughts and impressions are about Revel. To me it is gorgeous and I can't get enough of it!
Judging by the Revel commercial that airs every half inning of the Yankee game, Revel doesn't offer gambling, just bonsai tree trimming and fun with blowtorches.
Stop in at Village Whiskey and try the Whiskey Burger - its mmmm
Dude, you're going just after the big Metallica festival? I'm half-tempted to cut up your metal card.
Revel is...odd. It's in no way like anythign else in AC. The only place I was in last weekend where the gambling floor, and everything else, was flyign way above the boardwalk. Most joints you walk in and either slightly up or down to the casino floor. Revel has you go into the loby and take an escalator that goes up about 50 feet before you get to the casino. There's nothing on the ground floor.
As a person who spent a lot of time on the Jersey shore when he/his family lived in PA...
Don't touch anything if you're outside of the Borgata and Revel. If you do, wash your hands.
After spending a lot of time in LV, AC is, well, Jersey....
I will be there in spirit. Do yourself a favor and have a pizza at Tony's Baltimore Grill. It's one of a kind, and I have a feeling you'll love the ambiance. And you probably want to have a drink at the Irish Pub on St. James Place. I used to go there when I worked at the Taj. Fun place.
Having grown up in Joisey, my spirit will be on the boardwalk or in a cheapo amusement parlor playing skeeball. My body, however, will be in Vegas. Good thing the spirit isn't coming for the trip or else it might compel me to behave. Have fun, y'all!
Yippie!!!!! AC getting some love!
