Mandarin Oriental: PinkBerry To Open In July

In November 2010, we reported that Mandarin Oriental was planning on ditching the Amore Patisserie for a

PinkBerry. Now, a full two years after the built-it-yourself yogurt craze has evaporated into thin air (followed by the cupcake craze and then the food truck craze) the brain trust at CityCenter has finally put the pedal to the metal on converting the space.

Sources tell us that the PinkBerry will is shooting for a late-June, early-July opening date for the franchise. Currently, there is no Las Vegas location listed on the PinkBerry store locator.

In related news, the Kiton suit store at Mandarin Oriental is moving into Crystals second floor, and the entire strip front part of the Mandarin building is being turned into an outdoor restaurant area. Could the ever elusive Harmon/Vdara refugee Mr. Chow finally come to the party?

Stay detuned.

Comments & Discussion:

I don't care if it's behind the times. Gimme.

I only know about Pinkberry from Curb your ethusiasm.

They're still opening a ton of stores around DC so I don't think the craze has died off just yet.

The craze hit Chicago a few months ago but we haven't gone gaga over since we are an ice cream town.

We just got the built-it-yourself yogurt craze here in Boston this year. Cupcakes are out now - it's all about the yogurt.

Popcorn is the next thing.

Fantastic! Now I can hop down from the Tea Room to PinkBerry.
