New VegasEats: Paris' Gordon Ramsay Steak Interiors

VT friend in food Eatling Las Vegas was invited along with the rest of the local foodocracy to eyeball the current state of construction for the new Gordon Ramsay Steak joint coming to Paris Las Vegas.

He's excited about it, with photos and a side order of braised caveats.

In a perfect world, [Ramsay] would be opening something more ambitious than another (groan) steakhouse, but that's what sells to the turistas* and we gotta give 'em what they want - whether it's has-been performers or hackneyed concepts.

Kinda funny how he alludes that tourists have no taste... without tourists, there would be little to no high end dining in Las Vegas. Or even a Las Vegas. I guess the hand that feeds tastes good.

After eating at Gordon Ramsay at The London here in L.A., we're on the fence. He did call deride opening a Las Vegas restaurant as being "materialistic" three short years ago.

Then again, how hard is it for a donkey to cook a steak?
