O'Shea's employes have been given 60 notice for termination. Employees originally promised to be assimilated elsewhere in the Borg have been told to meet at Human Resources where they will be availed the opportunity to "Linq Loveman's balls" on the way out.

Five Hundy has the rest of the details.

Just remember that they promised us a new O'Sheas when Linq opens. I'm betting it will be an Irish bar with a couple BJ tables.

well good thing we'll be in Vegas April 21-25th, I believe a goodbye shot with Lucky will be in order, plus maybe something else silly

damn, i need to go back just to go inside the place and see what i missed all these years.

Need to take a grip of pictures this weekend.. looking forward to Linq though.

I love that place!!!!

Unless they can really recreate O'Shea's as it exists today, CET is really shooting themselves in the foot. This is a prime example of Dr. Dave's recent article about how the big brass at major gaming companies have no clue about gaming. And my complaint that they are in bed with milk and cookies at 11 PM when they should (at least from time-to-time) be walking their properties.

Last night around 11 PM, The Strip was dead (by modern standards... it looked like it usually did at the height of the recession). Casino Royale wasn't that packed. Neither was Harrahs. (Rhumbar had a full house of upscale revelers). Nothing special at Mirage. But O'Sheaa's? Packed. Every pit was open and the tables were mostly full. Craps table full. Good slot action. Bars mostly full. Beer pong totally full (as was the lounge, but those two don't generate gaming revenue so they don't count). CET probably things those gamblers will mozy on over to Harrah's. I don't think so. They are at O'Shea's for the O'Shea's vibe.

Linq construction has started, but nothing to go out of the way to look at yet. Just some destruction to the south of Carnival Court (including tearing out the ice cream shop -- you can see through the the hotel and parking garage now). Obviously, the real construction won't commence for another couple of months.

Be an interesting race on the Ferris Wheel front. Can SkyVue nail down financing before CET breaks ground on theirs? And if they do, weill CET back down and save the cash?

Fox 5 in vegas just "broke" this today, and now it's everywhere, gotta love when you guys do their job for them and they still take 2 days to report it!
