Casino Renovations

VT super tipster JakeZ sent us these fascinating photos of renovations being made to Wynn's casino floor. The quadrant of the casino that spans from the B Bar to the former Blush space has been cleared of casino games and had the carpet covered in tack board.

Pardon our dust as we rearrange our games to put more of the high roller stuff into one concentrated area.

Bring on the eBay! slots!

This is more than a simple reshuffling of the slots. The tack board on the carpet makes me think that there is going to be some shuffling of the sconces, changing of the chandeliers and tinkering with the table games. Something makes me think that Red 8 might not be long for this world either.

Thanks JakeZ for another fantasmic photo update!

Jakez...thank you so much for the pics

noooo don't take away red8 :(

i'll have to see this when i go to Encore and Wynn for my dinners this coming Sunday and Monday

maybe it's going to be the red velvet rope maze for the line up to Cum Dumpsters, sorry, Climaxx

That tack board still looks better than Aria's casino carpet.

a bare casino floor is an amazing sight to see. thanks for the pics.

If high limit slots are going into Blush, is Wynn moving some tables from Encore into this space as well as more semi-high limit slots ($5 & $10)?

Who will the new VIP Lounge be for? Won't there be a lounge in the high limit slots room?

Will Encore's casino floor change its character to be a lower-end slot floor? I can't figure this all out. JakeZ, would love frequent photo updates. Thanks!
Surprised if Red 8 closed. Ideal casual Asian restaurant near high-end tables/slots.

Thanks Jake

@detroit1051: Here's a brief rundown of the Wynn changes. High Limit Slots is moving into the former Blush location. The former HL slots location is being embedded into the Tower Suites lobby. A small portion of the new lobby will house a VIP lounge that presumably would be connected to the existing high limit tables / baccarat area.

As for this portion of the Wynn casino, I can't say for sure what they are planning. Most likely, they are replacing the carpet and re-tooling the layout of the tables and changing out the slot machines. There are some ugly slot monstrosities about Wynn's casino now (Sex and the City, The Hangover, etc.), and there will probably be more placed about during these changes.

No word on Encore changing its casino layout.

I'll be sure to send in more information to VT as soon as I know anything new!

Thanks, Jake. I enjoy all your updates.

^^ You're welcome. I'm glad you enjoy them!

Not sure what your calling "tack board", but that is carpet padding on the floor. It looks like just a change of carpet to me. I do that stuff for a living by the way.

^^ amen. an expert! thank you
