Book your airfare, reserve your hotel rooms and start getting your liver into shape... Guns N Roses are playing at the Joint at the Hard Rock on New Years Eve.

Skeptical? Yeah you are right to be, but after hearing VT's very own Misnomer's towering praise of GNR's show in Kansas City, it appears Axl has decided to stop fucking around.

6:5 the show starts in 2012. 3-1 it ends after the sun comes up.

Tickets start at $95 and go on sale November 19th at 10am.

Comments & Discussion:

should it still be called Guns N Roses when it's only Axl and some other dudes?

Should "it" still be called Barry Manilow when it's obviously an andriod copy of Rod Stewart?

I've the seen the band... They're awsome ! most of them been together longer then the orginal Gun's line up. I'm seeing them in Vancouver and Seattle in Dec. I would love to make it to this show, but the air fare is too expensive. Anyone who goes will have a great time !

I went into the KC show with tempered expectations. I also had some reservations about it being Axl and some other dudes. But it turned out to be a great, great rock show. The band stays very faithful to the original recordings, and they have the chops to pull it off.

They've cut out a lot of the nonsense that was plaguing earlier versions of the "new" Gn'R. Nine Inch Nails guitarist Robin Finck is gone, and Axl seems to have largely abandoned the nu metal, Guns n' Nails experiment. Similarly, the freakishly talented but freakishly freakish Buckethead is also gone. For the most part, what's left is a straightforward rock band, although I could do with less Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, who insists on lugging around his French-made double neck (one neck's fretless!) guitar most of the night.

At any rate, I was stunned by how good the show is. Lots of fun. Would please any Guns fan, I think.
