VT uber tipster JakeZ is back on the scene at Encore today scoping out the construction in the Encore Explanade, where the powers that be are shuffling the deck in hopes of finding a solution to the XS queue nightmare.

The latest victims to close are the Rolex store and Wynn & Company, joining the former Rock & Republic, Taste of Wynn and Shades as shuttered.

Now it is time to play... can you guess the Encore retailer by the front door for $5000. I've got no clue which is which so you Encore fetishists out there are gonna have to sort it out.

Definitely a daring move to close all of these retailers, particularly as the holiday shopping season is nearly upon us. Then again, fall has historically been Vegas' season to close and renovate for the ubiquitous New Years Eve grand reopening.

Thanks JakeZ for the super sleuthing!

Comments & Discussion:

Third down was NIGHT|LIFE}SHOP then TASTE|OF|WYNN. And I think the fourth is Rolex, but the fact the awning says "Wynn & Company" is throwing me off.

Weren't they all just a massive Diamond Lounge?

are they closing evrey store on the encore esplande for xs?

Sorry I didn't label the pics!

In order:
The door ( which if no one guesses right, I'll give it away ); former Rock and Republic; Taste of Wynn and Wynn & Co. Jewelry store.

The only store they could not/would not relocate is Hermes. When it opened in Bellagio originally, Steve Wynn made them sign a long-term contract that stated they could not open within a certain radius NORTH of Bellagio (an aim at Caesars' Forum Shops, and at the time there was very little competition south). Wynn fell into that radius, but Encore didn't. And it is also one of their most successful stores.

I dont get it.....Closing most of the Encore Esplanade is necessary for the XS line up?

Thanks for the pics, JakeZ. Murphy's Law dictates that since Wynncore is taking such drastic steps to accommodate the douchebags and cokewhores who frequent XS, that XS will fall out of favour with that crowd in approximately six months or so. Besides which, most of them probably enjoyed being a spectacle in the foyer--the "see and be seen" mentality.
