Plaza Reservations Open August 24th

The Plaza has opened their renovated hotel for reservations for August 24th, one week ahead of the official September 1st opening.

Looking at the rate calendar, prices for Deluxe (standard) rooms range from $44-98 midweek and $98-169 on weekends. Mini Suites range from $58-112 midweek and $125-$199 on weekends. Prices have softened somewhat compared to the last time we scoped them out.

Comparing to Golden Nugget's offerings is currently impossible as their booking engine seems to be inoperable, a regular occurrence since they redesigned their website a few months ago.

Plaza seems to be pricing at the same level as another recently renovated property, The Stratosphere which is asking $41-89 midweek and $89-244 on weekends.

Shooting from the hip, it seems like they might be a smidgen high on the weekend asking price, but they are certainly in the right ballpark. A lot depends on what exactly these rooms look like and what features fill out the rest of the Plaza's content.

Comments & Discussion:

Well, looks like my VIMFP trip is starting a day early! Just booked a night for October 20th. Anybody wanna go golfing in the Swingers Club that night?

I booked into TI...unless I change my mind.

Besides the fact this is the only opening this year, it's also going to be a great addition to downtown. I'm excited to have another quality hotel to give Golden Nugget a little competition.
