Update : Palazzo Signage

Way back a month or so ago, we pointed out changes in Palazzo's signage, the Venetian's paint job and threw it all at the wall in the hopes that something somewhere might stick.

And stick it did. Inside of Dr. Dave's brain, which caused him to go ask the folks at Las Vegas Sands exactly what the hell was going on with the signage and paint jobs. They dismissed VT's theories as off base, but did give Dr. Dave the details. The short version is, they're installing LED light logo signage down the spine of Palazzo, and soon Venetian.

Details can be found in his Vegas Seven : Polishing The Palazzo article.

In related Dr. Daveness, news... Admiral Hillegas has given him the "get to know Dr. Dave" solo interview treatment much like he did to me a year or so ago on the Vegas Gang Podcast. I was surprised to hear that, in his pre-Dr. days, Dr. Dave got "blasted in the package" by a small kid while working the AC boardwalk in a Mr. Peanut costume.

Comments & Discussion:

LED lights are energy efficient...will they promote these new signs as "green"?

I asked about that. Since the signs aren't lit at all now...signs point to "no." But I'm sure it has something to do with LEED certification.
