There is a great article in this month's Wired magazine... alternatively titled "The Great Slot Machine Swindle", "The One-Armed-Bandit Bandit", and "How One Man Hacked His Way Into The Slot Machine Industry."

This is the story of a Cuban overachiever Rodolfo Rodriguez Cabrera, who somehow ended up in Latvia using his electronic know how to clone very expensive IGT game software and installing them into virtually identical cloned machine cases who sold them all over the world at a tidy profit.

As expected, the cops eventually crashed the party and threw these ne'er do wells behind BAR BAR BARs. This proves once again that unless your last name is Ocean, the house always wins.

Check out the story on Wired here, and keep your eyes peeled for a bonus quote from Dr. Dave!
