Gross: Cosmopolitan Hugs and Kisses The Twitter Racketeers
How quickly they forget.
Today, Cosmopolitan gave a big Twitter hug and a kiss to the social media racketeers we call the Twitter Twins (or Twerps), the very same guys who threatened and bullied Cosmopolitan's employees (and jeopardizing their job) for re-tweeting comically critical critiques about their tough guy tactics.

C'mon Cosmopolitan, you know better than this.

Comments & Discussion:
Tropicana has been doing this regularly. I called them on it last week when I asked you for a follow up story on these clowns. I think many of the twitterati of Vegas are loyal, envious and/or in some way tied to these peckers.
I can't believe they're still at it.
I think people just like to follow the crowd, particularly with social media. If they perceive others as being popular, they follow/lavish praise on, no matter how devoid of content or charm they might be.
In the case of Cosmopolitan, I think they'd be better served by responding to negative tweets/blog posts/etc etc rooted in actual customer experiences than trying to make nice with these guys, whose overall utility to anything PR related, let alone anything quantitative, has yet to be demonstrated.
This is fucking disgusting. Memories are short in the mutual-jack-off-society that is PR.
It's a shame.

I've been surprised to see the twits popping up more lately on PR pages. Definitely short term memories for the resorts.
