The Aria Pool

The American Institute of Architects have nominated ARIA's pool deck for their "people's choice" architecture award under the "Cafe/Bar" category.

Not sure if this is specifically targeted for the poolside bar (the building above) or for the Breeze Cafe or the entire pool deck.

Anyways, if you're an ARIA fan, go vote!

Comments & Discussion:

This is ridiculous. Large oval shaped pools surrounded by white concrete slabs is not architecture. The Cafe has cheap white plastic lawn furniture and a small 4 seat sidebar without a regular bartender. The separate pool bar is a much nicer bar with about a It should have been nominated for most boring, blinding, and uninspired new pool area.

Speaking of parchedearth, did they say anything about the Vdara pool deck?
