MGM Resorts International CEO Jim Murren doesn't run through airports, he m'life's through airports and soon you can too. MGM announced during today's earnings call that they have signed a partnership deal with AVIS / Budget rental car group which brings all the benefits of M life to a rental car return lot near you.

As for details, there aren't any... this was Murren chatting up M life to investors scared by a recent (Apr 26) downgrade of the stock by Credit Suisse. We can expect to see even more of these types of partnerships in the future.

Comments & Discussion:

That explains why I can't drop off a dollar rental car at an MGM property in June they must be ending their agreement

is it avis, or some kind of larger advertising "product"? forget the term.

Partnership with the Avis/Budget Inc. probably rewards points intermingling, co branding, intercorporate cunnilingus... that kinda thing.

i meant like if they pay some advertising company, and that advertising company includes avis things as one of their many distributions or whatever.
