What is MGM's Green Advantage?
MGM Resorts has filed copyright for two terms last week, MGM Resorts Green Advantage and M Life Green Advantage. The copyright purports to be about "promoting awareness of environmental sustainability issues."
Hrm. I wonder what this is reaaaaaaly about.
Guess #1: Sign up for Green Advantage and a percentage of your points etc will go to environmental sustainability organizations?
Guess #2: Pay the Green Advantage fee and MGM will guarantee that your room uses environmentally sustainable stuff.
Guess #3: Slogan: "All MGM Resorts International resorts have the Green Advantage of LEED certification and environmentally sustainable practices."
Guess #4: Marketing hogwash that will get them tax rebates and some thinly reputable, ego boosting awards.

Ugh... So tired of this green stuff. Such as hotels where the lights and air conditioning turn off when it senses no movement, meaning waking up in the middle of the night freezing or sweating to death and returning to your room to it being a sauna or ice box (Always the opposite of what you would want).
Totally don't buy into the hoax of global warming being caused by human activities, but that aside, if companies are going to cut costs for the sake of the environment why aren't they passing those savings to us?!?! Such as electronic devices that come without an instruction manual but refer you to a website, video games too that come in cases with half the plastic missing. Why are these savings not passed to the consumer?!?! That's really the issue.
I'll put my chips on a 2/4 split.
