The Primm Lotto Store

Primm Lotto Store

Located just over the California border in Primm lies a little hut wherein Nevada residents can get their fix of California gambling - scratchers and lotto tickets. I've driven past this thing about 500 times and never once thought to stop in. With the MegaMillions jackpot reaching $300M last week, I figured now was as good a time as any.

As with anything related to gambling, the Primm Lotto Store elevates the California lotto experience to heights only a Nevada run operation could conceive of. The interior is lined with California Lottery scratcher dispensers.... presumably offering every type and denomination of tickets currently available. Very impressive.

There are also a number of self service Lotto kiosks, surrounded by tables containing every type of Lotto form offered - Mega Millions, Super Lotto, Fantasy 5, Daily 4, Daily 3 and Daily Derby. Mounted on the wall above the cash registers are six dry erase boards containing winning number history of each game, with dates they were pulled and winnings, if any.

This place has all the class of a 7-Eleven combined with the excitement of a Keno parlor and the desperation of a sports book. In other words, I loved it.

Comments & Discussion:

They also sell more lotto tickets by volume than any other outlet in California, I'm pretty sure.

And based on that last photo, it appears Regis will be performing there in March.

I must have driven past this place a hundred times, and have never even noticed it. Add OTB, some vinyl stacking chairs, and let the fun begin!

More often than not, the highest volume lottery outlets are those closest to the state line of a state that does not have a state lottery.

We stopped there to grab a bottle of water after shopping at the outlets about 4 years ago and we had no idea that lottery was the prime business there, back then they had one lotto line and one for buying stuff. There must have been 50+ people in the lottery line and no one in the other, I wonder why they even bother with the convenience store part

I stopped by here on my last trip. It was about 2 in the afternoon on a Sunday and it was packed to the gills. I bought a couple scratch offs and lost. Oh well...figured I'd might as well drive back to the Hard Rock and hit the tables. lol.
