Here's some oddball shit that 5% of you might find as fascinatingly bizarre and somewhat Vegasy as I do.... heavy metal mastermind Devin Townsend has released SIN-atra an album of Frank Sinatra covers done up in spikes and studs. If you thought the guy singing Judas Priest's "Breaking The Law" on American Idol yesterday was awesome, you're really gonna love this over the top weirdness.

First up New York, New York with Devin Townsend on vocals:

SIN-atra - New York, New York feat. Devin Townsend by Eagle Rock Entertainment

Next, Fly Me To The Moon with Cheap Trick's Robin Zander on vocals:

SIN-atra - Fly Me To The Moon feat. Robin Zander by Eagle Rock Entertainment

Finally, It Was A Very Good Year with Twisted Sister's Dee Snider on Vocals:

\m/_ h/t to our friends at Blabbermouth.

Just. Awesome.

Oh My God!!!!

I'm sending this link to my dad.

The Kashmir-esque riff on "It Was a Very Good Year" is fairly ingenious.

This is being released March 29 in case anyone went looking for it just now and couldn't find it...

The guy on Idol was James Durbin and he actually sang Priest's "You Got Another Thing Coming".
