Silverton Resort Fee Includes The Free Shuttle

Should you be interested in taking your family on a fishing trip at the Silverton - a lodge/hotel/casino/Bass Pro Shop a coupla exits south of The Strip on the 15 - we've got a little piece of information for you to stash in your tackle box.

News flash: Silverton charges a resort fee. Ok, that's isn't the news, they've done this for a while, but it is the fish story attached to it which we're taking issue with. Right after explaining how fabulous their free shuttle to McCarran and the Strip is, they attempt to bait us into believing that their trumped up charge of a resort fee ($15/night for suites, $7.50/night for deluxe rooms) can be partially explained away by including previously touted free shuttle.

Yeah, we're nit picking hotel policies from a joint that can't spell for shit virtually none of us are going to stay at, but this is another example of how resorts try to explain away the resort fee nonsense.

Release the Kraken!

Comments & Discussion:

Palace Station has done the same for a number of years now. Even though the shuttle is free to anyone holding a Boarding Pass, which is free (and encouraged) to acquire.

Best kept secret for those of us who live on the west side when we need to get to the airport and no one free to take us: Park at Palace and hop their airport shuttle free with our boarding pass.

To their credit, Silverton regular room fee is 1/2 of Palace.
