Taking A Deeper Peep At The Cosmopolitan's Casino Chips

Because I know some of you are detail nerds like the rest of us, here's a quick look at the design of the newly minted chips at the Cosmopolitan.

The design is simple and clean, with ample readability without being too bland like the new chips at Aria and Bellagio. As evident by the pic above, the front isnít cluttered, giving only the name, location, production logo and denomination of the chip in plain, easy to read fonts. The background is a lightly differentiated design which gives just enough style to the chip to be nice without being busy. Cosmopolitan $25 casino chips

Colors are the standard range, with bright vivid reds, greens, and yellows being used. It should be noted that the 25k chip is mocha.

Additionally at check in guests were given a slip for a special limited edition chip.

The chip is a production run of 1800 with a $5 dollar cash value. Not a bad little gift for the first 1800 gamblers not paid by the house to bet.

Comments & Discussion:

Where was that slip? Was it supposed to be handed to us or in a goodie bag that I didn't receive?

At best I'm indifferent to these chips. This was one opportunity to differentiate that they missed. How about having each of their resident artists do limited edition designs?

mctress02 - you should have gotten a black packet with the concert passes in it. That had a slip of paper that you could exchange at the cage for the chip.

YAAAAWWWWWNNNNN.....< rubs eyes sleepily > am I the only chip collector who is becoming more and more proud of my stash of Hard Rock chips....these are as boring as everything else in the "nondescript chic vegas of the 2000's".

and whats with the Monte Carlo logo? Is the MC also the "gateway to Cosmo" ?
