I don't know. I want to be excited about La Cave, but it's starting to feel quite a bit like deja vu. IMHO Wynn is quite late in jumping onto the tapas/small plates bandwagon. But then again, with no more Ba Ba Reeba, there isn't really a tapas joint on The North Strip (though the original Firefly is just a couple blocks away, on Paradise).
So I'll keep an open mind on La Cave, especially since quite a few of the dishes look appealing. And hey, at least this isn't yet another steakhouse.
ATD, ba ba reeba?
Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba was a restaurant built into the accessible Strip-facing facade of the otherwise sprawling and confusing Fashion Show Mall, under Capital Grille and Maggiano's. If you couldn't find it, thank god you didn't need any stores that are actually inside. ;b
Looking at the menu, there's a few things that look cribbed from the menu at Firefly (unless they are just tapas staples found at every tapas restaurant). After looking at the menu, my interest is piqued.
NO MORE BA-BA-REEBA??

Julian Serrano at Aria is more of an "authentic Spanish tapas house", so the menu there is more rooted in Spanish tradition. Same will go for Jaleo at Cosmo when it opens.
OTOH, places like La Cave at Wynn, Firefly, and Johnny Smalls at Hard Rock take their tapas in a more Modern American direction.

Yep, Ba Ba Reeba closed in February. It's now a Mexican restaurant.
decent number for vegas? odd nothing expensive...
13 by glass
13 enomatic
12 half bottles
re authentic - paella never is
Also miss Ba Ba Reeba, but liked it's replacement. Same owners I think. Happy hour at El Segundo Sol was real good. They continued with sangria and patron peppers, and their cheese crisps were great too. http://www.lvhhtime.com/el-segundo-sol-happy-hour.html
Society Cafe at Encore has had a tapas happy hour for awhile, but haven't tried it yet.
Is this really a full on restaurant? I thought it was supposed to be mostly a wine bar where you could get some snacks to go with the wine.

It's not a full on menu like you would get at any of the other Wynn restaurants.
I uploaded the photos to Flickr so you don't need to use Twitpic.
