Veer on Craigslist

The Center of Hunting For Housing In The Classifieds Has Changed!

Craigslist is now listing a grip of Veer, Mandarin Oriental and Vdara condos... starting at the low low price of $388,000 (down from $550k three years ago.)

Oh and a tipster tells us: "when I asked [the CityCenter leasing agent] how many people live in Veer, she said... I swear... 20!!!!!"

You can't beat that for privacy.

Happy house hunting!

I wonder if they'd rent it to me for a month. I want to try living there.

Maybe, but I doubt they have change of a hundred.

When they say "live" there, do they mean 20 people moved in furniture and spend time there on a long weekend... or 20 people actually live there full time? If they meant living there as their primary residence... I'm surprised it's as much as 20.

So if you had enough cash, and assuming they'd give you probably 30-50% off, how much could you pick up a whole building for?

All the controversy over the Harmon's poor construction can't help. Especially when coupled with the instinctive subconscious resistance one may feel about living in a "leaning" building in the first place. Not a good convergence.

These 1-bedroom 810-sq. ft models were going for $550K a few years ago? Wow. Life spins on a dime, don't it?

Hey Jimbo, you could always scrap the sales and use the space as employee housing. Payroll rental deduction is a better revenue stream than your getting from the gigantic empty buildings.

I wonder if this is a direct sale by MGM or someone who closed and now wants out. It will be interesting to see if there are any foreclosures and at what price. I'm guessing a similar foreclosed unit would get around $200k (based on current Signature listings).

Leases are for a 6 month minimum.

it's too bad that the association fees are outrageous and it will be 10 years until you have a chance to 'rent' your room, otherwise, 348k on the strip isn't awful, although some signature units are down to the 150s I believe at MGM.
