Cosmopolitan: The Two Page Spread
The Cosmoplitan's two page spread advertisement is starting to show up in magazines all over the place. Long time VT reader Vespajet just scouted this one in the Delta Sky Miles magazine. Check it or click here for the hi-res.

They've also put this thing up as a billboard on the 15 freeway just outside of town. Unless you're going 10 mph it is impossible to make out any of the text or what it means... this ad is definitely not suitable for being road sign.
Oh and you may have noticed that we have put the Cosmo countdown on the homepage - 41 days until December 15th! Don't be tardy for the party!
Thanks Vespajet! Thanks for nothin' Mac!

I'll be in vegas on Dec. 13th . I will just miss the opening. do you know of any way i could get a sneak peek?
@d3wayne push you face against the glass, you should be able to get a sneak peek..
What concerns me about this campaign is that Cosmo is not advertising anything tangible, they are just advertising what (they hope) their customers will look and act like.
They are so sure that they will attract this fascinating crowd of glamorous and sexy people that they seem to be advertising them as the hotel's primary "amenity".
This is straight out of the Schrager school, of which Mr. Unwin is a graduate.
Reminds me of the gawd-awful Apple ads from the '90s, when the company was circling the drain while the media used "beleaguered" as an adjective, and the Board bragged of profit margins on their miniscule sales numbers while developers fled and fans begged for a coherent marketing message. Ugh.
What we've seen of the rooms and culinary offerings looks pretty sweet and deserves far better than this.
