Name This Hotel Room

The title says it all... can you name the hotel that this room belongs to?

The fabulous Golden Gate! I can only wish that some rooms have a portrait of Wayne Fucking Newton over the bed in lieu of The Sinatra.

I've seen every piece of furniture in this picture in a HomeGoods, TJ Maxx or Marshalls in the SFV.

Is that a double bed??? Not the standard king? That's a little room. Since when does the Golden Gate look like this!?

@BlackJacker1979....I think that chair came from American Signature Furniture...I think it's the same chair as the ASF logo

I get a Home Decorators Collection catalog in the mail that has that chair in it, too. It gets around, apparently!

Since when does the Golden Gate look like this!?

The renovated about two years ago.

That bed is definitely a full size bed, but they don't have rooms with a single full size bed, they have rooms that are two fulls and the rooms with a single bed are all queens. They probably used a full size bed in that photo to make the room look bigger as if they had gone with the queen bed, they couldn't have included the comfy chair and the bedside table near the chair would be very close to the wall.

I've stayed at the Golden Gate twice (March 2009 and June 2010) and had two completely different sized rooms. When I stayed there in March 2009, I had a room on the second floor that overlooked Fremont Street. That room was tiny and only had only bedside table, as the queen bed left maybe a foot or so between the bed and the wall (Which had a picture of Elvis.). The comfy chair was in a corner across from the bed and one could lounge in the chair and use the bed as an ottoman. The bathroom was tiny (see Chuckmonster's review of the joint from a few years back as the bathroom was about the same), and apparently the ones on the first two floors tend to be that way.

My room in June of this year was on the fourth floor (yes there is a fourth floor of rooms) and the room was a decent sized room and had a real bathroom in which you didn't have to close the door to use the toilet and shower that was not the size of a broom closet and had a shower head that was high enough that I didn't have to duck under it to take a shower. It also had a decent sized closet, unlike the smaller ones in some of the other rooms that are about the size of a typical hall closet.

The Golden Gate is a pretty decent hotel and can be had at a bargain price at times. My trip in March 2009, I got my room for $19.06/night before taxes for Friday arrival, Monday departure. When I stayed there in June of this year, Thursday, Friday and Sunday night were $19.70/night before taxes and Saturday night was $59.70 before taxes.

I'll guess El Cortez.

Golden Gate...comfy new beds but it's too noisy to sleep. Flat screen TVs with only 13 channels.

This looks like Roger Sterling' bedroom. I am guessing El Cortez.

It's not the El Cortez, it's the Golden Gate.

This looks like Roger Sterling' bedroom.

Maybe before he married Jane, as she's probably got their bedroom looking similar to his office....

I have to admit, that room is much nicer than I ever would have imagined at the Golden Gate. Very small bed, though.
