The New Rooms at The Stratosphere
The Stratosphere has recently redesigned their website AND unleashed some freshly redesigned rooms. Awesome!
The Stratosphere Select Room, features flat screen TV's, brand new bathroom fixtures, pillow top mattresses, poofy duvets, new linens, mp3/clock radios and if you're lucky a fine view of the ass end of Fontainebleau.
First impression makes me think that perhaps its time to book that long overdue overnight at the Stratosphere, but the $125+ per night asking price for all the dates we've looked at feels a little high to me.
For a limited time, the Strat is offering an introductory 15% discount on the refreshed rooms. If they'd knock another 10% off I'd book it right now.
Anyways, its great to see stuff moving in the opposite direction up there.

Good stuff. Riviera re-did their rooms...the Shat is re-doing theres...if we could only get Sahara to do some upgrades (and shampoo the carpet in their damn casino) we'd be good!!
Nice to see the lower tier properties doing some much needed refurbs. I'm with RockChick, I'm really hopeful at some point the Sahara figures out what they are doing and remodels the property. Although I think we are stuck with the current state until there is new ownership.
Recently stopped by the Strat and the casino was clean and looking much improved from my last visit a couple years ago. The lounge at the top is a great place for a couple drinks.
I just did a dummy booking for the last two nights of my trip at the end of January and said room is $74.99 for Saturday night and $49.99 for Sunday. It's tempting, but I think I'm going to stick with my plans for two nights at the Golden Nugget.
The room looks great but not sure I would book a trip there just yet. If the Sahara did the upgrade, however, I would try the place.
